Eagle Eye Clinic

The Eagle Eye Clinic provides comprehensive vision examinations for patients aged 4 years and older with priority given to Active Duty service members. The optometrists prescribe glasses and conduct eye health evaluations. The Optometry clinic will order glasses and required optical devices for all active duty service members.

Contact lens services it is not a Tricare covered benefit, however Contact lens prescriptions can be updated and renewed yearly at the discretion of the provider. Due to limitations and military directives, new contact lens fits are directed to a civilian eye care provider, but can be followed annually in the Optometry Clinic after the initial fitting.

Eye exams usually take about an hour and a patient’s eyes will usually be dilated to provide a thorough eye health examination. This will result in blurred near vision and light sensitivity for the remainder of the day.

Patients may make an appointment for a routine vision examination without a referral. Same day Acute Care is offered for urgent patients based on a referral from a healthcare provider.

The eye portion of military physicals (with the exception of PHAs) is performed on a walk-in basis. Flight Physicals requiring refraction are by appointment only. PHA vision updates are done in the Active Duty Clinic (Bldg. 8130, 1st Floor).

Active Duty patients and Retired Military with a current glasses prescription (less than one year old) may walk-in to order glasses from our dispensary. Retirees may receive one pair of glasses per year.
