Pharmacy Services

Civilian prescriptions are filled if the pharmacy stocks the drug(s) and the provider manually signs each prescription. A computer-generated signature or stamped signature is not acceptable according to Federal and Virginia State Laws. Services are available for Active Duty service members and their family, as well as retirees and their family members. The patient's military ID card must be presented each time service is requested. Children aged 10 and over are required to have an ID card. The Main Pharmacy Operating hours are from 7 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Refill Prescription Options

Refilled prescriptions are located at windows 8, 9, and 10 and require the patients ID card for pick up. The pharmacy has a mandatory call-in refill process. The fully automated refill system is available 24/7 by calling 804-734-9535.

Refills should be ordered within seven business days before the medication runs out to prevent unintended medication disruptions. Refills are processed within 72 business hours after they are requested. Refills that have not been picked up within 10 days will be returned to stock.  A pharmacy wait ticket is necessary for these medications to be processed again.

Self-Care

A limited number of over the counter medications are available to eligible beneficiaries. Please consult with a Kenner pharmacist for your self-care needs.

Patients wishing to return to the pharmacy at a later time instead of waiting to pick up their prescriptions may use the Pharmacy Drop-Off Service. Prescriptions dropped off BEFORE 1 p.m. will be available for pick-up within 2 hours the same day. Prescriptions dropped off AFTER 1 p.m. will be available for pick-up the next business day after 10 a.m. Completed drop-off prescriptions may be picked up at Refill windows 8, 9, or 10.
